It has been a tumultuous few weeks between the Merrifields and their sister wife, Lorrana. Seeking Sister Wife viewers watched as Garrick Merrifield married Brazilian Lorrana in Season 6. Yet, things all went downhill, then allegedly back up, and now, it is all over, as Garrick and his first wife, Dannielle, have seemingly deleted Lorrana from their lives. Merrifields Done With Lorrana
When Garrick and Dannielle Merrifield met Lorrana in Brazil, it was a whirlwind courtship. Almost as soon as they met in person, he was baptizing her, and she was on her way to Buena Vista, Colorado. Seeking Sister Wife viewers watched as Lorrana moved in with the Merrifields and their three children. She then married Garrick in a quickie wedding and, in the blink of an eye, was expecting her first child with the polygamist. Unfortunately, the happiness was short-lived as Garrick was arrested for domestic violence against Lorrana not long after she welcomed her first daughter.
Despite all of this, Lorrana stood by Garrick, even sharing snaps from a proposal photo shoot. He got down on one knee, with Dannielle peeping in the back, and it appeared that they were recommitting themselves.
However, a few days ago, Lorrana went live on social media, running around her home, sharing how they were trying to take her child. Moreover, she sent a strong message about something happening to her. Now, it looks like the marriage is officially over as Dannielle has deleted every trace of Lorrana, with the exception of the Seeking Sister Wife promo. As for her sister wife, she removed Garrick’s proposal snaps and seems to be on her own again.
Viewers begged Lorrana to leave the marriage after the DV arrest. They felt that she and her daughter, Sarah, deserved far better, but she clearly did not see it that way.
The Merrifields Should Have Been Axed Seasons Ago
After Seeking Sister Wife fans learned that the Merrifields deleted Lorrana from their lives, they had a lot to say. For starters, they believed that Garrick and Dannielle should never have been welcomed back after their first failed engagement to Roberta. They had been engaged twice, first to Roberta and then to Nathalia Lima. Now, it has just gone way too far, although many viewers knew this was coming:
- TLC should’ve never featured them past the Roberta fallout. It’s very clear that Danielle was/is mentally unstable and Ick talked like a wannabe cult leader.
- It’s always been very obvious that he’s abusive and views women as objects as well. People think that abuse only involves the physical aspect, ignoring that abuse often starts very small and escalate
- I’m so worried for Lorrana. I really hope she has someone in her corner helping her through this.
- Ray Charles coulda seen that coming
The biggest concern is that Lorrana has a child, and the hope is that they are both okay and safe.
