Joseph Duggar Pleads Not Guilty To Molestation, Pays Bond
Joseph Duggar was arrested in Arkansas on March 18 on charges that stemmed from a family vacation in Florida in 2020. He allegedly inappropriately touched a 9-year-old girl. After days in jail in Arkansas, he was extradited to Florida.
He made his first court appearance in Florida earlier this week to face the charges. He pleaded not guilty to the charges, despite allegedly confessing to the police and the victim’s father. However, Joseph Duggar is reportedly already on his way back home to Arkansas after posting $600,000 bond. But he faces additional charges in his home state.
Days after her husband’s arrest, Kendra Duggar found herself in handcuffs as well. The details of what led to her arrest are unclear, but they seem to stem from a home inspection following her husband’s arrest. The police allegedly found several bedrooms with locks on the outside. Kendra Duggar was charged with four counts of child endangerment and four counts of false imprisonment.
Kendra Duggar On Edge Of Death After Child Endangerment Arrest
Joseph Duggar was already in jail, so he wasn’t arrested again. However, he is also facing the same charges. We know that these charges are unrelated to his previous charges, and the couple has four children. During his time in jail in Arkansas, he only received visits from his lawyer and spoke to his wife on the phone.
The calls were recorded, and the transcripts are slowly coming out. In one call, Kendra Duggar admitted that she was “not well” amid the arrests. In previously released calls, she revealed that she’s in hiding.
“When I’m by myself, it’s just not a good thing. But I haven’t died yet, so… I haven’t died,” she told her husband in one call obtained by Radar Online. She added, “I feel like I can’t be there as much for you right now. I have my own battles that I am dealing with.”
Kendra Duggar said that their kids are her priority right now. However, she’s reportedly unable to see them until she returns to court later this month. Elsewhere in the calls, she told her husband that she has “coaches” helping her navigate the situation.
