Counting On alum James Duggar is one of Jim Bob and Michelle’s most adventurous sons today. He likes to take things to the extreme with his family and friends. Some examples of his wild activities are playing soccer with cars and launching a car into a lake for a gender reveal. Counting On: How’s James Duggar Today?
James hasn’t been active on his social media page, but he often appears on his siblings’ vlogs and social media posts. The Counting On alum last shared an update earlier in January, where he shared his massive 16-foot snowman creation. James has also documented his project on fixing the family’s school bus. He likes to travel with his friends as well and even went on a trip to Europe last year. But after Jason got married, James’ IG posts became fewer. The two have a lot of things in common, especially traveling and doing adrenaline activities.
James Speaks Out After Life-Threatening Accident
James Duggar recently made an appearance on Jinger and Jeremy’s podcast. The Counting On alum talked about many things regarding his childhood and his life as a 13th child. But what caught the attention of many was when James shared the time he crafted something illegal. According to James, he has always been into making DIY fireworks. He admitted that some of his crafts may be illegal, but his fireworks have resulted in many unforgettable memories with his family. He said, “I did like to build fireworks back in the day. Just like, I think it’s legal. But some of it’s not legal.”
But in one of his pyrotechnics, he almost blew his head off. He turned two “mortar” fireworks into one, trying to make a huge explosion. The jumper fuse he used burns too fast. He tried to tape three fuses together in the hopes of having enough time to run away. However, the fireworks exploded before he could run, almost burning half of his face. James added that he smelled burned hair for weeks. Fortunately, his injuries weren’t severe, and he quickly recovered.
Counting On: James Duggar Shares How He & Brothers Always Get Into Trouble
Aside from the fireworks incident, James Duggar also admits that he and some of his siblings often get into trouble. According to the Counting On alum, he and Justin once did something mischievous. They have paintball guns and shoot every car on their property, painting them with different colors. But things were only getting worse. James added that they decided to do a drive-by shooting using the paintball guns, hitting two people in the process. James forgot how old they were during that time, but it’s a moment that has been stuck in his head.
