Bringing Up Bates: Gil & Kelly Jo Bates Addressed The Situation
Bringing Up Bates star Erin was battling sepsis in the hospital, and everyone questioned Gil and Kelly Jo’s presence there. But a few days later, the parents released an official statement about all that was happening. They began by thanking everyone who had prayed for their daughter. The parents further added that the last few days were a blur, and trips back and forth to Florida. “Several surgeries with other children and another sweet grand baby to welcome,” the statement read.
Gil and Kelly Jo clarified that they hadn’t discussed it earlier because Erin’s condition was changing frequently. Bringing Up Bates: Erin Bates Says She’s Thankful After Getting Discharged
Erin Bates, known from Bringing UpBates, recently overcame a sepsis battle and left the hospital after several days of treatment. Earlier, the mother of seven gave birth to her seventh child, Henry, in late August. While everyone was excited to hear the good news, Chad, her husband, revealed that because of the long and critical labor, she suffered a UTI infection and soon after that slipped into septic shock. The news terrified everyone, and her fans were praying for her to get better soon.
But a few days later, Chad informed everyone that she also suffered a severe seizure. Her husband further added that it is tough to see her like that and asked everyone to pray for her. Everyone flooded the comment section with prayers and love for Erin. Luckily, it all worked, as a few days later, it was revealed that she is stable and slowly recovering. But Chad added that her recovery is equally painful. He further added that even in such hard times, she did not lose her empathy and thanked all the staff members and everyone who prayed.
Now it seems that Erin is recovering well, as the mother of seven took to Instagram to inform her fans that she has been discharged from the hospital and is finally going back home to her babies. She also added that, unfortunately, she has lost function in her right leg. Erin further said that they still do not have all the answers, but they are choosing to count all the blessings. “Especially the gift of being together again. Your prayers have carried us through and mean the world to our family,” she concluded.
While everyone is happy that Erin is back home and recovering, her fans are quite tense about whether she will lose her leg forever or if it will start functioning fully. Sepsis can have some long-term effects. It causes tiny blood clots in blood vessels that prevent blood from delivering oxygen and nutrients to the tissue. In such cases, the tissue dies and causes gangrene. We hope she gets well soon. Till then, keep reading TV Season & Spoilers for more Bringing Up Bates updates.
