Courtney Waldrop Breaks Silence On TLC’s Twisted Editing

Sweet Home Sextuplets introduced Eric and Courtney Waldrop to TLC viewers. The couple welcomed six babies in 2017. They had three other children before the sextuplets arrived, including twins. The family starred on the TLC show for just three seasons before the show went off the air.
Fans still miss the family, but Courtney Waldrop shares their family life on social media. In her latest post, she revealed how TLC’s ‘twisted’ editing affected their decision to quit filming.
Sweet Home Sextuplets Family Enjoys Quality Time Together
Eric and Courtney Waldrop have a love story straight out of a movie. They fell in love as awkward teenagers in middle school. As they grew into adulthood together, they knew they wanted to get married and have a large family.
The high school sweethearts married in 2004 and welcomed their first son, Saylor, in 2008. Twin boys, Wales and Bridge, followed in 2012. The twins were conceived through IVF after Courtney Waldrop suffered several miscarriages.
The couple wanted to add another baby to their family, but ended up adding six more. The sextuplets were born in 2017. They were just three when Eric and Courtney decided to leave the TLC show behind.
The family of eleven recently went on a relaxing getaway. Courtney Waldrop shared a video on Instagram of her and her husband walking on the beach at sunset with their nine children. She wrote a lengthy caption about how the family’s quality time helped her remember the importance of her faith.
“This past week as my family and I spent some time away together every time I looked out at the ocean, every time my feet walked across the sand I was reminded of how much God loves us and what He sacrificed for us. How perfect His plan is in EVERYTHING,” she wrote.
She encouraged her followers to share their faith with the world. “He put us on this earth to share His name, to share His love, and most importantly to share His plan of salvation. As Christians If we don’t do that then what are we doing. It’s so easy and sometimes as adults we try and make it so hard.”

Courtney Waldrop credited her “firm faith” as one of the reasons why the family left TLC. “While we were filming our show Sweet Home Sextuplets, Eric and I stood firm in so many things behind the scenes that we believed in for our faith and our family,” she wrote.
She added, “The network tried to twist and turn things at times in a way we weren’t comfortable with. We always fought wholeheartedly for our faith and our beliefs. We decided to step away when the Sextuplets turned three years old.”
Many former reality TV stars have spoken out about deceptive editing practices. Did Eric and Courtney Waldrop make the right decision to walk away from the lucrative show?
