Marian ‘GG’ Derrico has been widely known for her kind and loving personality. Deon was emotional about his mom’s treatment. The DDWTD star wanted his mom to get the best treatment. Hence, Deon and Karen surprised fans after starting a fundraiser for GG. The latter shared the link to her former mother-in-law’s GoFundMe page. She planned to raise $1,39,900 for her holistic treatment. The reality TV star stated, “GG, does have health insurance, but unfortunately, health insurance doesn’t cover holistic medicine or care, which is very expensive.”
Karen described GG as “America’s favorite grandmother” on the platform. She explained that Deon tried his best to give his mom the best treatment. The TLC star explained that the money they will raise will help them cover a number of things, including transportation, oxygen supplies, and vital cancer treatments not covered by insurance.
