As Dutton Ranch starts to set up the endgame of Season 1, certain big events will end up changing the entire course of the show. One of those events, coming later this season, is foreshadowed in Episode 6, “A Cowboy Saint.” And that big event is a huge 190-year celebration of the Jackson family’s 10 Petal Ranch. Who will attend this celebration, and how this moment impacts the rest of the show, remains to be seen. But for now, in Episode 6, Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening) is making her intentions clear to Everett McKinney (Ed Harris), in a moment that references both their shared past and uncertain future.

Ahead of Dutton Ranch Episode 6, “A Cowboy Saint,” Men’s Journal can exclusively present a preview of one scene from this episode. Check it out below.

In the new clip from the next episode, Beulah overtly asks Everett to come with her as her date to the massive event that celebrates the anniversary of her family’s ranch. Everett is a bit reluctant to stay the night at her place, but agrees to be her date.

Clearly, there’s a shared past romance between these two, which never quite materialized in their respective youths. We know that Everett is neither Rob-Will’s (Jai Courtney) nor Joaquin’s (Juan Pablo Raba) father, though he is certainly, probably, of that generation.

But, more than just teasing the relationship between Beulah and Everett, this scene reminds us that a big moment is coming: The beleaguered Jackson family, now aligned with Beth and Rip, is celebrating their legacy. But, because this is a Yellowstone show, we can bet that this is one Western celebration that will have some fireworks, one way or another.

Dutton Ranch streams new episodes on Fridays on Paramount+.
