Fans have been paying close attention to the Bates family after Erin Bates recently gave birth to her seventh child. At the time, the family called on fans for prayers after Erin dealt with various health complications. Since then, however, Erin has shared a touching update with fans. During the moment, she also answered one fan question about what’s currently going on.
Erin Bates Welcomed Baby Henry Into The World In Late August
Viewers were introduced to the Bates family from a variety of reality shows. This includes Bringing Up Bates, which ran for ten seasons on UP TV.
Erin is the third of Gil and Kelly Jo’s nineteen children. In her own personal life, she married Chad Paine in 2013.
Since then, the two have created a little family of their own. Late last month, the couple announced the birth of their seventh child, Henry Paine, on August 25, 2025.
At the time, however, the family took this moment to also ask fans for prayers, as Erin was dealing with complications at the time. As previously reported, at one point, Chad shared that Erin endured a severe seizure and had to spend time in the ICU.
However, fans have since seen Erin recover and eventually head home. Recently, Erin herself has taken to social media to continue to share updates with fans.
In one recent update, Erin showcased a photo of her new son holding onto her. A caption read, “The best medicine! I will never get tired of the baby snuggles.”
During the moment, Erin also took time to appreciate the little things in her life. As she noted, “Thankful for new day and a new pair of pajamas.”
Erin Bates Also Responded To A Fan Question In The Comments
Many fans were glad to see the update. A few noted that they’d like to see another soon. This was especially the case as after fans had shown concern for Erin’s leg after she was seen in a wheelchair during her recent homecoming.

Erin herself took to the comments to reveal, “I haven’t had any change yet, but feeling hopeful! Thank you so much for praying!”
Taking to the comments, various fans shared various words of support for Erin and her growing family. Referencing the family’s previous posts, many noted that their prayers were answered. A few also shared more advice for Erin during this time. Some comments included:
