Back in March, news had come out that Kendra and Joseph Duggar of Counting On fame were arrested in Arkansas. Since then, details about a jail phone call between the two were revealed. In particular, during a recording, Kendra’s “weak” condition was detailed since her husband’s arrest. So, how is she doing going forward?
Joseph Duggar Was Originally Arrested In Connection To A 2020 Incident
Audiences were introduced to the Duggar family through a number of reality shows, including 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On. As fans know, Joseph Duggar is the seventh child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. He married Kendra Caldwell in 2017, and the two share four children.
On March 18, 2026, Joseph was arrested in connection with a 2020 incident involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor in Florida. Following this, news had also come out that Kendra had been arrested on charges of suspicion of child endangerment and false imprisonment, with Joe facing further charges.
Recently, an audio recording was released between Kendra, who has since been released, and her husband in which she spoke with him about various issues. This was also while he remained behind bars on March 21 and March 26.
The day after her own arrest, Kendra could be heard saying, “It’s been pretty intense. Yesterday was a pretty rough day.” She also shared, “I can hardly walk. I get really winded because I’m so weak in my legs, and my body.” Sharing her emotional state, she added, “I lost my laugh, too. It’s like a silent laugh, you know how when I was really sick with the silent laugh again.”
News Previously Came That Kendra Told Joe Not To ‘Trust’ Anyone While In Jail
In the audio, which had been obtained and shared by TMZ, Joe advised her to eat something. According to the recording, he told her, “Well, make sure you try to get some food in. That’s going to help you gain some stuff back there.”
Kendra shared that she would “try,” suggesting that she was having issues with food since his arrest. However, she later told Joe that she was able to eat a sandwich.
Kendra also told Joe that she dealt with “shaking or rattling or tapping.” She also claimed to have “sneaked out” at one point to get an IV.
As previously reported, Kendra previously shared some ominous words with Joe, telling him to be careful with whom he trusted. She also told him to speak with her attorney, Travis Story. When Joe mentioned speaking with a figure identified as “Greg,” Kendra also expressed caution about trusting him.
