Fans Moved As Duggar Family Shares Emotional Words Of Encouragement With Erin Bates

The Bates family has kept fans updated as Erin has been dealing with health issues following her giving birth to her seventh child. Through it all, the family has given their support, asked fans for prayers, and shared updates. However, another prominent reality show family has lent their support to the Bates: the Duggar family.
Members Of The Duggar Family Have Followed Erin Bates’ Story Through Various Updates
Viewers originally became aware of the Bates family through reality shows, like United Bates of America and Bringing Up Bates. Led by Gil and Kelly Jo Bates, viewers were also introduced to the couple’s nineteen children, among other extended family.
Last month, the Bates family revealed that Erin Bates and Chad Paine just announced the birth of their seventh child, Henry, who was born on August 25, 2025. However, at the time, the family asked for prayers, revealing that Erin had endured complications from the birth.

In some recent posts on Instagram, Chad had been sharing updates concerning Erin as she was placed in the ICU. In a later update, he shared that she had undergone a severe seizure.
Many members of the Duggar family could be seen sharing their support during this time. As reality television fans know, this family became known through reality shows like 19 Kids & Counting and Counting On.

In one post shared in early September, Hannah Duggar, who is married to Jeremiah Duggar, wrote, “Praying for you all!!” Jessa Seewald wrote the same as a comment to a follow-up post. Jinger Vuolo also wrote, “Chad, we are upholding you all in prayer daily,” on the platform.
The Duggar family continued to share their support as Chad had a more positive update with fans. In a later post, Chad shared that Erin was on her way to recovery, complete with a video where she opened up her eyes to watch her newborn son.

In the comments, Jill Dillard shared, “Praise the Lord! Been thinking about yall and praying for you!!” Jessa also similarly wrote, “Praise the Lord!” Jinger also shared a crying face and a heart emoji.
As noted by Parade, the Duggar and Bates families go a long way back. Jim Bob Duggar previously shared that the families first met while attending a conference back in 1997.
