Fans Think Jackson Duggar Is Courting*

Months after Jackson Duggar made his own Instagram account, he is finally posting more content. Which, to some, can mean only one thing — Jackson Duggar is courting. Fans of the Duggar family, and those who still follow the former 19 Kids and Counting stars out of sheer curiosity, have shared on social media they believe Jackson’s Instagram activity is a telltale sign that the youngest unmarried Duggar son is courting someone.

For those who are uninformed or need a little refresher on Duggar etiquette, “courting” for the family is dating with the intention of a proposal and marriage not too long after. All of Jackson’s older siblings married their respective significant others after their own courtships. Many also became much more active on social media once those relationships began, which is why there is speculation about Jackson’s Instagram and the possibility that he is courting someone.

Fans think Jackson Duggar is courting.

Jackson’s Instagram account, which isn’t verified as of April 2025, is followed by other Duggar family members, which show its legit. According to the account information, Jackson opened the Instagram profile in November 2024. At the time, he shared one post with a photo of himself in a cowboy hat leaning against a fence at a rodeo. His simple caption read, “Yee haw.”

He didn’t post again until April 3, 2025, which sparked speculation online about Jackson courting. After he shared two posts back to back, a Facebook group that discusses the Duggar family posted about the possibility that the new activity means Jackson is either courting, or he is at a point where he is open to courting and getting married.

However, someone commented on the posted, Jackson’s Instagram activity doesn’t necessarily mean what some believe, in regards to him courting.

“Just because a single Duggar posts on Instagram doesn’t mean they’re about to start a courtship. Jana has had Instagram for years before marrying Stephen,” they pointed out. “Jed, Jer, and Jason did too long before marrying their wives.”

Jackson is the youngest Duggar son who isn’t married yet.

Jackson isn’t the youngest sibling who isn’t married yet, but he is the youngest Duggar son who is still single. Eldest brother Josh was the first to be married, with a televised wedding on 19 Kids and Counting that was filmed in 2008. Then, Joseph married Kendra Caldwell in 2017, and Josiah married Lauren Swanson the following year.

Second oldest son John-David married Abbie Burnett in 2018. Jed married Katelyn Nakatsu in 2021. Before that, in the same year, Justin married Claire Spivey. Jeremiah married Hannah Wissmann in 2022, and in 2024, Jason married Madison Jones. Jackson is the last Duggar son to be married, and if his Instagram activity is any indication, fans could see another wedding sooner rather than later.

The four youngest Duggar daughters are the last to have courtships and marriages.

For some Duggar fans, and even Duggar critics, it seems like just yesterday that the super-sized fundamentalist Christian family first appeared on TLC with their first of a handful of specials before their official show. Somewhere along the way, though, almost all of the 19 kids got married and flew the nest.

Now, aside from Jackson, there are just four of the younger Duggar kids left at the house that once housed them all — Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn, and Josie. And as all four teens grow up, parents Jim Bob and Michelle have a few more weddings to plan before they can rest a bit.
