Jinger Duggar Vuolo Reveals Why She Hasn’t Spent Christmas With Parents In Nearly A Decade
Jinger Duggar Vuolo welcomed her third child, Finn, earlier this year. The baby joined his two older sisters, Felicity and Evangeline, to make a family of five. For the last nine years, Jeremy and Jinger have spent Christmas with his family, the Vuolos. The former TLC stars opened up on their podcast about the reasons for skipping out on Duggar Christmas for nearly a decade.
Jinger Duggar Vuolo shared the simple reason on The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast. She said that the holiday is the only time of the year when all of her husband’s family gets together in the same place. Her parents and siblings, however, reunite all the time. “It’s easy for us just to pop back. We went back one year, three times in one year, for weddings. So you’re like, ‘Oh, we weren’t there for the holidays,’ but we were there for multiple weddings,” she said.
But Christmas will look different this year. “We have not been back to the Duggar house since we’ve been married, in nine years, for Christmas, and we’re going this year,” Jeremy Vuolo shared at the start of a recent podcast episode.
She Shares Plans To Celebrate With The Duggars This Year
Jinger Duggar Vuolo’s brother, Josh, will be celebrating the holiday in prison again. But Jinger, along with her husband and kids, plans to spend Christmas with her family in Arkansas. She said that she wanted to give her kids the experience of a Duggar family Christmas.
“I miss it, so that’s also why,” she added. Jinger Duggar Vuolo looked back on her family’s Christmases when she was growing up. “Back when I was at the big house, there were some years where we’d be like, everybody has to wait. We go down together, and then it’s a free-for-all all, and everybody just opens gifts, and it’s chaos,” she recalled.
