Joseph Duggar Arrested After Trapped Into Phone Confession By Victim’s Dad
Joseph Duggar was arrested on March 18 on multiple charges involving the sexual abuse of a minor. He allegedly touched a 9-year-old girl inappropriately during a vacation in Florida in 2020. According to the newly released police report, Joseph Duggar privately confessed to the girl’s father on March 17.
The victim, now 14, went to the Tontitown Police Department the next day to give a statement about the abuse. Since the incident happened in Florida, the TPD shared the report with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office. A detective with the BCSO had the victim’s father call Joseph Duggar again and get him to confess during the phone call.
Joseph Duggar reportedly admitted what he did and said his intentions with the girl weren’t “pure.” He’s still in jail in Arkansas, waiting for extradition to Florida to face the charges.
Disgusting Details Of Molestation Revealed
The newly released police report about the incident includes the victim’s statement detailing the abuse. The victim, now 14, said that Joseph Duggar groomed her during the vacation. At first, he only had her sit on his lap.
However, the behavior escalated to him having her sit next to him on the couch with a blanket over them. Under the cover of the blanket, he allegedly touched her inappropriately under her dress and “grazed” her vagina over her underwear.
After several occurrences, Joseph Duggar apologized to the young girl and the incidents stopped, PEOPLE magazine reported.

His wife, Kendra Duggar, was arrested on charges unrelated to the alleged molestation. She was charged with 4 counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and 4 counts of false imprisonment.
Her husband was also charged, in addition to the previous molestation charges. According to multiple outlets, the new charges involve the couple’s four children.
