‘Landman’ Season 2 Gets a Shocking Taylor Sheridan Update
“[Stephen] is directing all 10 episodes this year. Last year, Michael Friedman directed three; Stephen directed, I think, five; and Taylor directed a couple. That being said, Taylor would come in and direct all my stuff because he loves forming these characters and he wants them big and bold.”
Sheridan stepping back from directing duties marks a significant shift, especially considering how involved he was with Larter’s scenes in Season 1. “Anytime I would take my foot off the pedal, Taylor was on step,” she said. “He wants her [Angela Norris] loud and emotional, like a tornado of energy.”
Though his presence behind the camera may be reduced for this go around, Sheridan is still actively shaping the story for all the actors, even if things were slightly behind. “He’s still writing,” Larter confirmed. “Last year we had the luxury of having all 10 scripts. Now they’re just coming in. We only had three when we started. We’re all jonesing to be able to build the arc. You just have to put faith and trust into your creator. He has a vision. He knows where this is going.”
Ali Larter Says ‘Landman’ Season 2 Will Be About Family
Even without Sheridan behind the lens, the Landman team is charging ahead with what promises to be another explosive season. And if Season 1 was any indication, we’re in for another wild Texas ride. Landman Season 1 is now streaming on Paramount+. Season 2 is currently in production in Fort Worth, Texas.
