‘Landman’ Season 2’s Newest Villain Hints at Major Trouble for Angela and Ainsley Norris

The oilfields of Texas aren’t the only battleground in Landman Season 2. Paramount+’s hit Taylor Sheridan drama is introducing a new character played by Miriam Silverman, and she may pose just as much trouble for the Norris family as the cartel. Speaking to ScreenRant on the TIFF red carpet for her film Sacrifice, Silverman revealed that production had quietly wrapped weeks ago, adding that her experience on the show was nothing short of “delightful”, but adding that her character would be going at it with the two ferocious females of the series.

“We wrapped! We wrapped a few weeks ago, so we do that, and I am actually here in Toronto filming a new series called Vladimir for Netflix. I’ve been doing that, and it’s been a great summer. It was so delightful. Billy Bob [Thornton] could not be more of a welcoming, warm, caring presence. He’s such an incredible actor, and Demi [Moore] is such an incredible actress. She really comes into focus more this season. Most of my stuff is with Michelle Randolph and Ali Larter, who are both brilliant geniuses. I get to square off with both of them, and it’s really fun.”

Who Is Greta Stidham Playing?

Michelle Randolph’s Transformation: From ‘1923’ to ‘Landman’ with Taylor Sheridan

When Landman Season 2 hits our airwaves, Silverman will play Greta Stidham, an intimidating university admissions counselor. Greta’s storyline ties directly into Ainsley Norris’s (Michelle Randolph) college ambitions, and she’ll also be working closely with Angela (Ali Larter). With Ainsley’s future on the line, Greta’s presence promises a tense and personal new layer to the drama.

Season 1 ended with Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) juggling cartel threats from Andy Garcia’s Galino, as well as oilfield rivalries, while Cami (Demi Moore) began her rise in the wake of Monty’s death. But Silverman’s arrival signals that Season 2 won’t just be about boardroom deals and backroom shootouts — it will also dig deeper into the family’s internal struggles, particularly Ainsley’s attempts to chart her own path. The Norris family’s balance is already fragile, and Greta Stidham could be the one to push Ainsley and Angela into even more difficult territory.

Landman was a record-breaking success when it debuted, quickly becoming one of Paramount+’s most-watched series. With Sheridan’s track record (YellowstoneTulsa KingMayor of Kingstown), the November 16 premiere of Season 2 is shaping up to be one of the platform’s biggest events of the year.
