Garrick Merrifield’s DV Sentence Handed Down
It was an exciting moment for Dannielle and Garrick Merrifield when they met Lorrana in Brazil. Garrick baptized her, and she became their new fiancée. As Seeking Sister Wife fans saw in Season 6, she moved to Buena Vista, Colorado, to be with the couple and ultimately married Garrick. By the end of the season, Lorrana and Garrick were expecting their first child together and ended up having a daughter, Sarah. Unfortunately, things took a turn, and Garrick was arrested for domestic violence against his new wife. It appeared that he had to vacate the marital home, and viewers hoped she would leave the couple altogether.

However, Lorrana soon started to share photos with Dannielle and Garrick’s daughter, Leia. She then showcased a series of snaps with Garrick re-proposing to her while Dannielle watched. That proved to fans she had not learned and was sticking with the Merrifields. Regardless, Garrick still had to pay for what he had done, and after several scheduled court appearances, he had finally been sentenced. He must complete six weeks of domestic conflict classes, and the case will be dismissed. This was what Garrick’s attorney, Ernest Márquez, had wanted.
Additionally, the Seeking Sister Wife star wanted to leave Colorado and move to California. The judge granted permission for him to do that, as well. Although Garrick Merrfield has his business in Colorado, there has been talk of a new venture. Dannielle Merrifield took to social media to ask for investors for The Merrifield Collection, which is billed as a luxury collection. As of now, it is unclear if Garrick will take his construction work out there as he shares that with Dannielle’s brother.
Is It A Surprise?
After Lorrana Merrifield shared snaps of her and Garrick Merrifield back together, no one thought he would get into real trouble. They believed he would get off the hook because she had forgiven him. That seemed to be the case as he is only taking classes, and he gets to move with his family. Hopefully, the judge follows up with Garrick to ensure that he is doing what he has been ordered. However, it is unclear if the Merrifields will be welcome back for another season of Seeking Sister Wife.
Do you think Garrick should have had to pay a higher cost, or is this sufficient? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
