Seeking Sister Wife is a TLC series that follows polygamous families. Premiering back in 2018, the show often looks at these families looking to introduce a new partner or looks at how a new spouse adjusts to the arrangement.
Fans were introduced to Garrick Merrifield in the show’s third season. Garrick is in a plural marriage with his first wife, Dannielle, sharing three children together. The two legally divorced so he could marry two other women, both from Brazil, such as his wife, Lorrana, in October 2024.
According to TMZ, Garrick was arrested in Chaffee County, Colorado, this past Monday. A jail spokesperson confirmed he has also since been bonded out of jail.
At the time, the outlet shared he was facing a charge of “telephone-obstruct service,” citing online court records. It was noted that this serves as a “misdemeanor domestic violence” charge, which records claimed had been filed on November 24, 2025.

The charge is often associated with domestic violence incidents, as it could involve taking a phone from someone to prevent them from calling 911 in domestic disputes. Under Colorado law, it could be punishable by up to 364 days in jail, as well as possible fines. On social media, it was also reported that “an order of protection in place.”
At the time the arrest came to light, TLC did not comment on Garrick’s future with the show. Seeking Sister Wife recently returned for a sixth season this past September, with episodes expected to run well into December.
As previously reported, Garrick’s mugshot had been shared on social media, where he was seen donning glasses. He could also be seen wearing an orange prison suit while Zooming with a judge and interpreter.

At the time of his arrest, Garrick appeared to be living with Danielle, Lorrana, and their children. On Instagram, TLC had shared that Garrick and Lorrana also welcomed a baby girl back in early July.
