Whitney & Zach Bates Reveal They’re Expecting Baby #6
Whitney and Zach Bates just welcomed their fifth child, Lily Jo, in August 2023. They wasted little time in getting pregnant again. In a sweet video announcement, the couple revealed that they are expecting their sixth child.
The couple married in 2013. They welcomed their first child, Bradley, in 2014. They announced at his first birthday party that they were expecting again. Zach and Whitney’s second child, Kaci, arrived in 2016.
Sadly, Whitney Bates suffered a miscarriage after the birth of her second child. But the Bates couple welcomed a rainbow baby, Khloé, in 2019. Their fourth child, Jayden, arrived in 2021.
Each of the five Bates kids made an appearance in the video announcing their sibling. The kids joined their parents in the order of their birth. A short slogan appeared on the screen as each of the children joined Zach and Whitney Bates in the backyard at their home in Tennessee. “One’s company,” the caption said when their oldest son joined them.
“Two’s a crowd” for Kaci; “Three’s a party” for Khloé; “Four’s a circus” for their fourth child, Jayden; “Five’s a team” for their youngest, Lily Jo, “and six is a whole squad,” for the impending bundle of joy.
Whitney and Zach Bates showed off an ultrasound of their sixth baby after all their other kids joined them for the video.
Fans took to social media to react to the news of another Bates baby on the way. One fan wrote, “No surprise there!! She’s showing already, so maybe they kept the news quiet for a bit.”
Another speculated that it might be the last pregnancy for Zach and Whitney. A third fan wrote that Whitney Bates doesn’t suffer the same medical problems as her sisters-in-law do after giving birth.
Zach Bates’ sister, Erin Bates Paine, was recently released from the hospital after suffering complications during the birth of her seventh child.

Erin Bates Paine recently spent nearly a month in the hospital ICU. Her newborn son, Henry, was in the NICU after arriving early. Erin Bates developed a UTI and bladder infection that led to sepsis. She pulled through after weeks of fear and prayers.
She went home from the hospital earlier this month. Her husband, Chad Paine, revealed that she’s on the road to recovery.
Another Bates family member, Carlin, gave birth to her third child while Erin was in the hospital. Josie Bates Balka and her husband are expecting a baby this winter. Lawson Bates and his wife, Tiffany, are also expecting. They recently shared a scary update about the upcoming arrival of their second child.
