One of ‘Landman’ Season 2’s Biggest Fan Complaints Finally Addressed by Series Star
In a recent interview, Jacob Lofland, who plays Tommy Norris’ son Cooper, revealed that Landman Season 1 unfolds over just 10 days. Even more surprising? Season 2 covers roughly the same amount of time. As Lofland explained, the timeline only really became clear after filming wrapped:
“We’ve talked about it. We never really added it up through the season [as we were filming]. But after [we finished] and have talked about it, it’s probably 10 to 15 days. There’s probably a six-week gap in between seasons, so we’ve known the characters for two or three months.”
In other words, despite the show airing across multiple years, the Norris family has only been living through this madness for a matter of weeks. Much like other Sheridan projects, the series is hyper-condensed. A lot happens very fast, and characters barely have time to breathe before the next disaster hits. It’s a storytelling approach that heightens tension but can leave viewers wondering how everyone hasn’t completely burned out yet. Now we know why: they haven’t had time to.
What Can We Expect From ‘Landman’ Season 3?
“I’ll tell you personally, I cannot wait to go back and start season 3. I cannot wait. I’m looking so forward to it because of where we left off. Like, the first episode’s going to be awesome. I haven’t read anything, I don’t have any idea what’s coming. But I know it’s going to be awesome just from the setup that we have coming out of season 2.”
